Village based basic training (VDP men and women)
Through this training, the members of the village defense team gained an idea about the VDP organization and were able to act as members of the VDP Patun.
 Training rules:
1. The two Patuns, comprising 32 men and 32 women from the respective villages, were given free training.
2. This training program is conducted for 10 (ten) days at a convenient place in the village.
3. This training is given once in a village.
4. The trainee has to pass at least eighth class.
5. The minimum age of the trainee is 18 and the maximum is 30 years.
. The training allowance is Rs. 900 per day for 10 days training at the rate of Rs. 90 per day.
. One share of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank worth Rs. 900 to Rs. 100 received at the end of the training has to be purchased.
. The trainee is given a certificate at the end of the training.
9. Members of one village are not trained in another village.
10. The district commandant selects the village as per the recommendation of the upazila officer before the start of the financial year.
11. Through this training the VDP male and female patuns of the village are reorganized.
12. The members undergoing the training get the opportunity to apply for the 3rd and 4th class government jobs within the prescribed 10% quota.
General Ansar Basic Training (Male and Female) Upon receiving this training, the members are able to perform their duties as General Ansar and qualify to join. The rules of this training are as follows:
The training was conducted in the initial phase at the district headquarters and in the final phase at the Safipur Ansar-VDP Academy in Gazipur.
• Upazila Ansar and VDP officers select the members according to the quota and send the list to the office of the District Commandant.
আলো In the light of Ansar Act 1995 and Ansar Bahini Regulations 1997, the person concerned has to complete the following qualifications:
A) Age 18 to 30 years.
B) Educational Qualification Minimum 8th class pass. However, those with SSC or above degree are preferred for training.
C) Height:
         (I) Minimum 160 cm i.e. 5 feet 4 inches (in case of males)
         (Ii) Minimum 150 cm i.e. 5 feet - 0 inches (in case of women)
         (E) Chest size from 75 cm to 60 cm i.e. 30-32 (in case of males).
         (6) Vision power: 7/8

• Certificate of Educational Qualification and Certificate of Character and Citizenship have to be submitted while participating in the basic training of General Ansar.
থাকা Trainees are provided free accommodation, food, clothing during the training.
অর্থ No money is taken from any member to participate in this training.
• After successful completion of this training, he / she joins various government and non-government KPI / important organizations in the country and fulfills the responsibility of providing security.
সদস্য Trainee members are involved in Durga Puja, National Local Government elections for a short period of time.

Vocational training
In addition to basic training, an Ansar VDP member gets the opportunity to become self-reliant through vocational training. The Ansar-VDP organization provides various types of vocational training every year. E.g.

• Computer Basic Course (VDP Member).
Electrician course (VDP member).
• Nakshi Kantha Course (VDP Member)
Driving training (VDP male / female).
• Fridge & Air Conditioner Repair Course (VDP Male) • Sewing Training (Ansar Member / VDP Member).
          Rules for joining the general Ansar
For Ansar members: In order to ensure the safety of any government or non-government organization / organization by considering the demand, the following procedures are followed and the Ansar is involved.

কম Under the overall supervision of the District Commandant, a committee was selected by the Ansar on a pre-determined date and the panel was prepared for future incorporation.
• At present Ansar is incorporated in the organization for three years i.e. the period of incorporation of 1 Ansar is three consecutive years.
চার An Ansar may rejoin four years after the end of the incorporation period.
আন Ansar members from one district cannot be affiliated to another district. However, this rule does not apply to Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Chittagong and Khulna districts.
• The District Commandant issues a merger order according to the order of the panel.
• Ansar members need to have basic training including firing experience to join.
জন্য The following qualifications are required for panel membership to be a member:
(A) Age: 18 to 40 years.
(B) Educational Qualification: Preference is given to those who pass 8th class.
(C) Height: 5th-4th (male), 5th-4th (female) (Preference is given to candidates with higher height).
(D) Marital status Both married / unmarried.
(E) Certificate of Character and Citizenship issued by Union Parishad Chairman / Ward Commissioner, Attested copy of Educational Qualification Certificate, General Ansar Basic Training Certificate, Police Verification
        Report, No Objection Letter issued by the District Commandant (applicable to candidates from other districts), 06 copies of passport and 03 copies of stamp size photograph
